Tell Your Mothers Day

Based in part on these valuable lessons, I want to share some news that might surprise you, but should not upset you: I believe marijuana should be legal.

The truth is that marijuana is far safer than alcohol. It is less damaging to the health of the user and less likely to be associated with violent behavior and dangerous decision-making. On nights when people make the decision to use marijuana instead of alcohol, they are literally making a safer choice. Yet in many ways the use of marijuana is no different from the use of alcohol. Both are used to unwind after work, at social gatherings, or as part of a romantic evening. There is nothing morally wrong about using marijuana. As I respect you and value your opinion, I hope you agree.

To help you understand more about marijuana and the irrational nature of the laws surrounding it, I hope you will check out the book, Marijuana is Safer: So why are we driving people to drink?, which you can find on-line HERE at Scribd.com. It's incredibly thorough yet a fun and easy read; I hope you will approach it with an open mind and then let me know what you think. I would love to talk to you more about this issue and why I think it's important, and of course I'd love to get your thoughts on it, as well.

Happy Mother's Day!
